WASHINGTON (AP) - Shares of Goodman Global Inc. climbed Thursday, as the heating and air conditioning systems manufacturer had its trading debut on the New York Stock Exchange.
Stock of Houston-based Goodman rose $2.05, or 11 percent, to close at $20.05 Thursday. The initial public offering price was $18 a share.
The company, which markets its systems under the Goodman and Amana brands, sold 23.5 million shares at the high end of the price range set by underwriters JPMorgan Chase & Co., Merrill Lynch & Co., and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
