LAS VEGAS (AP) - Robert Hight set a track record Friday night in Funny Car qualifying for the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals, covering a quarter-mile in 4.702 seconds at 327.11 mph at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,
Top Fuel star Tony Schumacher and Pro Stock points leader Greg Anderson also led their divisions in the $1.7 million event.
Schumacher had a 4.501-second run at 327.35 mph in the first round of action, and Anderson had a 6.787-second pass at 202.82 mph during the cooler evening session.
