LOS ANGELES (AP) - Clay Hensley allowed just two hits over six scoreless innings and had nothing to show for it, except a no-decision and four stitches to close a nasty gash on the back of his head.
Khalil Greene hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning, lifting the San Diego Padres to a 3-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday night for their fifth straight win.
Hensley almost didn't make it out of the second inning. Dodgers rookie Andre Ethier hit a broken-bat grounder to shortstop Greene for the first out, but the barrel of the bat conked Hensley flush on the back of his head after he turned his back to the plate to follow the path of the ground ball.
