NEW YORK (AP) - Hello Liberty switched to the rail in the deep stretch to pass tiring front-runner Win McCool by a neck to win the $205,600 Nassau County Breeders' Cup on Saturday at Belmont Park.
Hello Liberty, under Norberto Arroyo, Jr., finished the Grade 2 seven-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies in 1:22.65 over a fast track.
"The race set up very well for us," winning trainer Larry Jones said. "She has proven to be gutsy and versatile."
