WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush will meet with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda at the White House on May 31 to discuss AIDS and economic issues as well as efforts to stabilize parts of east Africa.
The White House also announced on Thursday that first lady Laura Bush will lead the official U.S. presidential mission to the U.N. General Assembly's high-level meeting on HIV/AIDS being held June 2 in New York.
White House press secretary Tony Snow said Bush and Kagame will discuss Rwanda's participation in the U.S. emergency plan for AIDS relief, economic development, trade and investment and the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
