 MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) - Sporadic gunfire rang out Sunday across Mogadishu, but the Somali capital was relatively calm a day after fierce fighting between Islamic militiamen and their secular rivals.
Fighting Saturday killed at least 17 people and wounded 25 others, said Dr. Hassan Gutale of Medina Hospital.
"If the fighting continues, the hospitals will not be able to cope," Gutale said. "Some of the hospitals have already run out of medicine."
