LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold prices fell.
The euro traded at $1.2597, down from $1.2644 late Friday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.2579.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Friday, included 114.28 Japanese yen, up from 113.92; 1.2333 Swiss francs, up from 1.2312; and 1.1003 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1063.
