BUJUMBURA, Burundi (AP) - President Pierre Nkurunziza left Saturday to sign a cease-fire agreement with the country's last rebel group in neighboring Tanzania as his government works toward ending Burundi's 12-year conflict, a presidential spokeswoman said.
For more than two weeks, government negotiators and the rebel National Liberation Force, or FNL, have been in talks in Tanzania's commercial capital, Dar es Salaam.
The FNL is the only Hutu rebel group rejecting a series of peace deals to end the central African nation's war.
