WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court said Thursday it is not ready to decide what science can and cannot be patented.
For now, justices won't roll back patent rights. But three court members said they were ready.
The court, on a 5-3 vote, ended what could have been a landmark patent case with a one-sentence opinion saying it made a mistake by agreeing to resolve a dispute over a test for diagnosing vitamin deficiencies.
