YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) - A truck carrying a load of sand slammed into a passenger bus Friday in Cameroon, killing at least 34 people, the government said.
The accident occurred on the northwestern outskirts of the capital, Yaounde, according to a statement issued by the prime minister's office. Further details weren't immediately available.
At least 800 people died in road accidents last year in Cameroon, according to the west African nation's transport ministry.
