BERLIN (AP) - Business software maker SAP AG said Thursday its net profit rose 43 percent in the second quarter on higher U.S. revenues and better margins.
The German company earned 414 million euros ($518 million), or 1.35 euros ($1.69) a share, in the second quarter, up from 289 million euros, or 0.93 euro cents a share, a year earlier.
The profit figure beat an average forecast of 356 million euros ($446 million) from analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires.
