 LOS ANGELES (AP) - Nomar Garciaparra homered and drove in three runs against Dontrelle Willis, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Florida Marlins 4-2 Monday night for their 16th win in 17 games.
The NL West leaders have won five straight and have their the first 16-1 stretch since the franchise relocated from Brooklyn in 1958. They came out of the All-Star break 1-13 before going on this current streak.
Derek Lowe (10-8) allowed a run and four hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking two.
