NEW YORK (AP) - Randy Wolf and the Philadelphia Phillies kept evolving this season. They only hope there's enough time left to finish the job.
Wolf won again, Ryan Howard hit his league-leading 45th home run and the Phillies stayed in the thick of the NL wild-card race, beating the New York Mets 4-3 Friday night.
The Phillies ended the Mets' seven-game winning streak and stopped New York's 11-game winning string at Shea Stadium, its best run at home since September 1995.
