LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar fell against other major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold was also down.
Trading was muted with major currency and metal markets in London closed for a holiday.
The euro was quoted at $1.2798, up from $1.2758 late Friday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.2782.
