LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was higher against other major currencies in late European trading Friday. Gold prices fell.
The euro bought at $1.2673, down from $1.2728 late Thursday. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro bought $1.2671.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Thursday, included 116.69 Japanese yen, up from 116.40; 1.2479 Swiss francs, up from 1.2429; and 1.1180 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1100.
