NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Albert Haynesworth is seeking forgiveness from anyone who's seen a TV replay of the Tennessee defensive tackle smashing his cleated foot onto the face of Dallas center Andre Gurode. In other words, just about everyone. And now that Haynesworth knows he won't face criminal charges, he must convince his bosses at the Titans that he deserves to return.
The Titans aren't sure they want the troublesome tackle around after he serves his unprecedented five-game suspension by the NFL. Not with their own fans furious over the latest, yet ugliest, incident involving a winless franchise mired in its worst season since moving to Tennessee.
Team officials are investigating their options with Haynesworth, spokesman Robbie Bohren said.
