Monday, October 30, 2006 5:29:25 AM

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A clash between insurgents and NATO-led troops in eastern Afghanistan left three soldiers wounded, an alliance spokesman said Monday.

The clash occurred in the eastern Kunar province on Sunday, said Maj. Luke Knittig, a spokesman for the NATO-led force. He did not disclose the nationalities of the wounded soldiers. Most of the troops in the area are American.

Tamim Nuristani, the governor of the neighboring Nuristan province, said that three U.S. soldiers were slightly wounded on Sunday following insurgent rocket attacks near the border between these two mountainous provinces hugging Pakistan.
