BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU coach Pokey Chatman was pleased again with her team's defensive effort. For the fourth consecutive game, No. 10 LSU held its opponent to fewer than 45 points, with a 65-31 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday night. The Lady Tigers limited Louisiana-Lafayette to 22 percent shooting, and forced the Ragin' Cajuns into 21 tunovers.
"That's four games in a row where we've put out a good defensive effort," Chatman said. "It's not always about the final score, but the process to get to the final score."
Sylvia Fowles, the only LSU player in double figures, scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Ashley Thomas and Quianna Chaney each had eight points.
