Tuesday, December 12, 2006 2:27:49 PM

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent (AP) - A 21-year-old woman was beheaded in front of horrified onlookers at a bus terminal in this Caribbean nation's capital, police said Tuesday.

Stacy Wilson was returning home from work when a machete-wielding assailant pulled her off an idling bus in Kingstown, according to Assistant Police Superintendent Eckron Lockhart.

The attacker, identified by police as Sean Samuel, carried Wilson's severed head for several seconds before dropping it to the ground, witnesses said. Her right hand also was chopped off at the wrist.
