 LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Julie Briody scored 19 points as No. 23 New Mexico beat rival New Mexico State 65-45 on Tuesday night, the Lobos' 22nd consecutive win in the series and second this season.
The last time NMSU (4-7) beat the Lobos (9-2) was a 78-73 double overtime win in Las Cruces on Dec. 22, 1995.
Katie Montgomery scored 14 points for New Mexico and Angela Hartill added 10.
