WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. United traded forward Alecko Eskandarian to Toronto FC on Friday for a partial allocation.
Eskandarian had seven goals and two assists last season, making the MLS All-Star team as a commissioner's pick after missing the last 20 games of the 2005 season with a concussion. He scored 10 goals in 2004 and was the MVP of United's MLS Cup victory.
The trade was the third major move of the offseason for United, who also traded midfielder Freddy Adu to Real Salt Lake and replaced head coach Peter Nowak with Tom Soehn.
