LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday, as major markets in London reopened after the long Christmas holiday. Gold prices rose.
The euro traded at $1.3131, up from $1.3111 late Tuesday in New York. Later, in midday New York trading, the euro was worth $1.3121.
Other dollar rates in European trading included 118.65 Japanese yen, down from 119.18; 1.2246 Swiss francs, up from 1.2231; and 1.1617 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1606.
