CHICAGO (AP) - A federal judge has thrown out a jury award of more than $6.5 million to a former policeman who claimed two FBI agents framed him for murder and kidnapping.
Steven Manning spent 14 years in prison — eight on death row — before the charges were dropped.
In a civil lawsuit against FBI agents Robert Buchan and Gary Miller, he claimed the agents framed him for the crimes after he tried to stop working as an FBI informant.
