LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar fell against other major currencies in late European trading Thursday. Gold prices rose.
The euro traded at $1.3185, up from $1.3123 late Wednesday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3145.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Wednesday, included 118.54 Japanese yen, down from 118.74; 1.2174 Swiss francs, down from 1.2256; and 1.1587 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1611.
