EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Rene Haynes scored 20 points and Allyssa DeHaan blocked nine shots to set game and season records in No. 21 Michigan State's 74-49 victory over Indiana on Thursday night in the Big Ten opener for both teams.
Haynes was 7-for-13 from the field and 5-for-5 from the line for the Spartans (10-2). The guard also had eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
DeHaan broke her own single-game mark of eight blocks and erased WNBA veteran Kristen Rasmussen's season record of 57 by three. The 6-foot-9 freshman also had 10 points, all in the second half, and 10 rebounds.
