SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Notre Dame starting guard Kyle McAlarney was arrested on a marijuana possession charge early Friday, police said.
His status for No. 19 Notre Dame's home game Saturday against Stony Brook was not immediately clear. Bernadette Cafarelli, Notre Dame's sports information director, declined comment.
A state trooper reported finding marijuana in McAlarney's car during a traffic stop a few blocks from the Notre Dame campus about 1:30 a.m. Friday. McAlarney, 19, was taken to St. Joseph County Jail, where he was booked on the charge and later released on bond.
