 LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Angel McCoughtry scored a school-record 41 points and had 12 rebounds in No. 15 Louisville's 93-75 win over Eastern Illinois on Friday night.
McCoughtry, a 6-foot-1 sophomore forward, broke the mark of 40 points set by Jodie Martin against Cincinnati on Jan. 2, 1994. McCoughtry was 14-of-26 from the field and 13-of-16 from the line. Her foul shots with 1:37 left gave her the record.
Louisville (14-0), off to its best start in school history, got 15 points from Helen Johnson and 12 points and 12 rebounds from Jazz Covington.
