 KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Chris Lofton scored 28 points and JaJuan Smith matched his career high with 23 as No. 21 Tennessee held off East Tennessee State 93-88 on Saturday night.
Tennessee (12-2) played its last nonconference game before the Jan. 7 Southeastern Conference opener against Mississippi State.
Courtney Pigram had 19 points for East Tennessee State (8-6).
