 DOHA, Qatar (AP) - Third-seeded Marcos Baghdatis reached the second round of the Qatar Open with a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 win over Philipp Kohlschreiber on Monday.
Baghdatis had to contend with tough conditions on center court at the Khalifa Tennis stadium on the opening day of the tournament.
"It was very cold and windy out there," Baghdatis said. "I have not played for two to three months, so I found it difficult to find my rhythm."
