 BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Ashley Walker had 18 points and 15 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season, leading No. 21 California past Rhode Island 65-53 on Tuesday night.
Devanei Hampton posted her first double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the Golden Bears' 23rd straight nonconference win at home. Freshman Lauren Greif also scored 14 points with back-to-back 3-pointers late and also grabbed eight boards.
Hampton, who added four assists, scored in double figures for the seventh straight game and had her 10th career double-double in Cal's seventh win in nine games. The team's losses came in overtime to UCLA and then to then-No. 10 Arizona State last Thursday.
