 MORA, Sweden (AP) - Jonathan Toews scored three times in a shootout to lift Canada over the United States 2-1 in the World Junior Hockey Championship semifinals on Wednesday.
Toews scored on the 13th penalty shot before Canadian goalie Carey Price saved Peter Mueller's shot to end the shootout 5-4.
Two-time defending champion Canada will play Russia in the title game on Friday. The Russians defeated Sweden 4-2 to set up a rematch of last year's final.
