COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - On a night of milestones for top-ranked Maryland, the Terrapins and coach Brenda Frese were far more interested in pursuing loftier accomplishments.
Frese won her 100th game at Maryland, Shay Doron moved into second place on the career scoring list and the Terrapins opened Atlantic Coast Conference play with an 80-61 rout of North Carolina State on Wednesday night.
Doron scored 10 points to pass Christy Winters on the Terps' career scoring list. Doron, a senior guard, has 1,681 points second only to Vicky Bullett (1,928).
