 MILWAUKEE (AP) - Krystal Ellis scored 19 points to help No. 18 Marquette beat Syracuse 79-55 on Wednesday night, matching a school record with the Golden Eagles' 13th straight win.
At 14-1 and 2-0 in the Big East, the Golden Eagles are off to their best start in school history. Their No. 18 ranking is also the school's highest ever.
Nichole Michael led Syracuse (7-8, 1-1) with 21 points, and Vaida Sipaviciute added 19 on 8-of-12 shooting.
