ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Cori Chambers scored 23 points and Janese Hardrick added 19 to help No. 15 Georgia beat Florida 89-57 in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams Thursday night.
The Lady Bulldogs (13-2) used a 15-4 run early in the first half to take a 28-12 advantage with 9:07 left. Chambers had 10 points in the spurt, including two 3-pointers.
Florida (6-10) responded with a 6-0 run, but Georgia countered with one of its own. The Lady Bulldogs took a 52-23 halftime lead when Hardrick scored on a layup, Ashley Houts hit a 3-pointer and Hardrick made a 3 with 11 seconds left in the half.
