BOSTON (AP) - Brendan Shanahan and the New York Rangers are showing an intensity they will need to get back into the playoffs.
Shanahan scored on a penalty shot, Petr Prucha had two goals and assisted on another, and linemates Matt Cullen and Jed Ortmeyer also had three points Monday night in the Rangers' 6-1 victory over the Boston Bruins.
Shanahan scored his team-leading 25th goal in the third period for the Rangers, who have won two straight road games following the All-Star break. New York has beaten Boston six consecutive times, including twice this month.
