WASHINGTON (AP) - Ranked in the top 10 for just the second time, George Washington showed why it deserves that lofty status. Sarah-Jo Lawrence and Kenan Cole had 15 points and Jessica Adair and Kimberly Beck added 11 each to lead the eighth-ranked Colonials to a 75-41 victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
George Washington (21-2, 10-0 Atlantic 10) raced out to a 25-2 lead and beat the Bonnies for the 26th straight time. The Colonials won their 14th straight and held St. Bonaventure (13-12, 3-7) to 23.1 percent from the field.
For Colonials coach Joe McKeown, the aim was a simple one: "Setting the tone with our size and our quickness. That was our goal."
