PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Essence Carson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 22 Rutgers to a 55-49 win over West Virginia on Sunday.
The Scarlet Knights (15-7, 8-3 Big East), who were trailing 30-23 with 14:20 left in the game, went on a 21-4 run to roll past the Mountaineers.
Rutgers leading scorer Epiphanny Prince was scoreless in the first half for the second straight game, but hit four three-pointers in the second half to cap the run and put the Scarlet Knights up 44-35.
