MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Grizzlies traded center Jake Tsakalidis to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday for forward Scott Padgett.
The 7-foot-2 Tsakalidis had been averaging 2.3 points in 11.2 minutes with the Grizzlies this season. He will give the Rockets a big man to help out with Yao Ming still out after breaking his right leg on Dec. 23.
"This is a good opportunity for Jake to have more playing time," said Jerry West, the Grizzlies' president of basketball operations. "He is a great person and a true professional, and we wish him well in the future."
