Tourists Flock to Anna Nicole Smith Home

Sunday, February 18, 2007 9:57:20 PM
By JESSICA ROBERTSON

A crime scene unit van of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, background, is parked among vehicles of media crews, outside Horizons, the oceanfront home that was shared by Anna Nicole Smith and her partner, Howard K. Stern, in Nassau,Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007. Police crime scene investigators entered the mansion on Thursday but declined to answer questions from reporters. Stern filed a burglary report after claiming that a computer, home videos and other items were taken from the mansion before he returned from Florida, where the 39-year-old former model Anna Nicole Smith collapsed and died on Feb. 8. (AP Photo/Christine Aylen)NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) - The gated, waterfront Bahamas mansion where the late reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith lived has become one of the island chain's hottest tourist attractions.

For days, tour buses and taxis that rarely venture to the exclusive eastern corner of Nassau where Smith lived have been shuttling hundreds of tourists to the street outside the estate called "Horizons."

The mansion's ownership is in dispute, as is the paternity of the former Playboy Playmate's 5-month-old daughter, who could inherit a multimillion-dollar fortune. Three men have claimed to be Dannielynn's father, and Smith's estranged mother wants to be declared the legal guardian.
