LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading late Wednesday. Gold rose in London and Zurich.
The euro traded at $1.3124, down from $1.3143 late Tuesday. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3129.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Tuesday, included 121.03 Japanese yen, up from 120.22; 1.2391 Swiss francs, up from 1.2367; and 1.1615 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1673.
