Thursday, February 22, 2007 10:17:56 AM
By TOM KRISHER

DETROIT (AP) - Automobile parts supplier TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit fell 44 percent, weighed down by the effect of North American automobile production cuts.

Nonetheless, the Livonia-based company, which specializes in auto safety systems, continued to be profitable while many suppliers posted losses or operated under bankruptcy protection.

Its shares rose 33 cents to $30.26 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange after briefly rising to a 52-week high of $30.60.
