STAFFORD, Va. (AP) - A mother of three who hurled a cup of ice into a car that cut her off was released from jail Thursday, a day after being spared a two-year prison term.
Jessica Hall, 25, was convicted of maliciously throwing a missile into an occupied vehicle, a felony, and sentenced to probation. She had remained jailed on an outstanding warrant from Mississippi for writing bad checks, but was released after the checks were covered.
On a sticky day in July, Hall was driving on Interstate 95 with her children and her sister when traffic slowed to a crawl, she said, and another car cut her off twice. Angered, she flung the McDonald's cup into the other car, where it flew across the driver and landed on his girlfriend. No one was injured in the incident.
