DETROIT (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to selling heroin laced with a powerful painkiller that killed two people was sentenced Thursday to more than 30 years in prison.
U.S. District Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff sentenced James Edgar Coleman, 36, to 365 months in federal prison. The sentence was the maximum possible penalty for Coleman, who has previous convictions for drug trafficking.
Coleman, of Detroit, admitted he sold the drug cocktail with fentanyl that last year killed Lauren Jolly, 17, and Daniel McElmurry, 30.
