ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - Pakistan successfully test-fired a new version of its long-range nuclear-capable missile on Friday, a defense official said.
The ballistic Shaheen missile launched from an undisclosed location has a range of 1,245 miles. "It successfully hit its target," the official said on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak to the media.
No Pakistani army spokesman was immediately available for comment.
