DETROIT (AP) - Domino's Pizza Inc. said Friday fourth-quarter profit fell 23 percent from year-ago results that included a gain on the sale of an investment in a franchise operation in Mexico.
The Ann Arbor-based pizza delivery chain earned $31 million, or 49 cents per share, in the three months ended Dec. 31 compared with $40.2 million, or 59 cents per share, during the same quarter last year, which included a gain on the sale of an equity investment in the company's master franchisee in Mexico. Interest expense also rose in the latest quarter, hurting the bottom line.
Revenue fell 5 percent to $435.3 million from $457.4 million in the prior-year quarter.
