LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was down against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold rose slightly in London.
The euro traded at $1.3181, up from $1.3128 late Thursday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3169.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Thursday, included 120.94 Japanese yen, down from 121.52; 1.2301 Swiss francs, down from 1.2381; and 1.1581 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1614.
