KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer signed a two-year contract extension but received no raise, keeping him at the university until 2013 at his current salary of $2.05 million, the school announced Thursday night.
It marks the second season in a row Fulmer has not received a raise, after receiving a raise and extension every other season since he became head coach halfway through the 1992 season.
The Volunteers went 9-4 last season, ending with a 20-10 loss to Penn State in the Outback Bowl. The season was a big improvement from the 5-6 record of 2005, Fulmer's worst.
