EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - If the Edmonton Oilers didn't officially say that they were out of the playoff race when they dealt Ryan Smyth on deadline day, the message seemed obvious Thursday night.
Third-string goalie Josh Harding stopped 30 shots, Pavol Demitra and Marian Gaborik had two goals and an assist apiece, and the Minnesota Wild beat the Oilers 5-0.
Branko Radivojevic also scored for the Wild, who won their fourth game in five outings. Harding got his first win of the season in his first start of the season.
