NEW YORK (AP) - U.S. Treasury bond prices rose slightly Thursday, settling down in afternoon trading after a volatile morning marked by sharp shifts in stock, bond and other asset markets.
At 5 p.m. EST, the 10-year Treasury note was up $1.25 per $1,000 in face value, or 4/32 point, from its level at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Its yield, which moves in the opposite direction, fell to 4.55 percent from 4.57 percent.
The 30-year bond rose 1/32 point. Its yield was unchanged at 4.68 percent.
