LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar traded mostly higher against the other major currencies in European trading Friday. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.3162, down from $1.3198 late Thursday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3179.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Thursday, included 117.50 Japanese yen, down from 117.58; 1.2234 Swiss francs, up from 1.2203; and 1.1738 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1715
